Mr. Don Welch
Hello! My name is Don Welch. I am a Cybersecurity Instructor in my 2nd year with the Cyber Academy of Excellence at RCTCM. I currently teach Networking Fundamentals and Study Skills classes in the morning and again in the afternoon. Classes are available on your Canvas page and a copy of the GaDOE standards is being taught Networking Fundamentals and Advanced Cybersecurity Study Skills are in each link.
I have 12 years' experience in the information technology industry. I own and operate an information technology consulting firm here in the CSRA specializing in cloud computing and virtualization solutions for local businesses. Previously, I owned and operated a networking consultant firm specializing in creating and implementing secure network solutions tailored to businesses and corporations.
My goal is to engage the students' interests and encourage them to think in the mind-set of a cyber security professional. To accomplish this task, I offer differentiated instruction so the students can learn the terminology and relationships between various moving parts of computer networking and advanced cybersecurity solutions to secure networks.
