    My name is Matthew Blanco.  I was born in Frankfurt Germany in 1967 to retired US Army parents William and Aleta Blanco.  While growing up, I lived in 5 military bases in Germany, CO, KY, and Korea before graduating from high school from Jacksonville High School in Jacksonville, AL.  I have been married for 27 years to Patricia Blanco. We have no children.   I served for 4 years in the US Army.  I completed my basic training in Ft. Leonardwood, MO. And my Advanced Individual Training (AIT) in Ft Lee, VA.  During my time in the military, I worked as a repair parts clerk in a company motor pool.  As a parts clerk, I ordered repair parts for the vehicles, forklifts, generators, radios, gas masks and weapons.  I earned the Army Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and Army Achievement Medal.  I developed a passion for Information Technology when I used to go to the computer lab after school when we were in Korea.  When were returned to the states, the family got its first computer; an Apple IIe desktop computer.  Later on, I decided to get an education in IT and earned 3 degrees in computer technologies (Microcomputer, Networking, and Cybersecurity) from Augusta Technical College. I have also obtained 3 IT certification (A+, Network+, and Security+).  Upon graduation, my first job working for 4T’s Computer here in Augusta, GA.  I worked there for 19 years becoming a store manager and lead technician.  Information Technology for the last 19 years as a store manager and lead technician for 4T’s Computers.  I am now a teacher for the Cyber Security career path.
