Ms. Datinya Caviness is a Cybersecurity Instructor for the Cyber Academy of Excellence @ RCTCM. She has 24 years of teaching experience in K-12 and higher education as a Media Specialist (Former), Curriculum Specialist (former), Associate Professor of Media (former), Statistical Data Analyst (former) and Cyber Instructor (Current).  As an Educator, she provides insight into cross-curricular approaches and theoretical approaches to  help students gain career, leadership and personal skills to maximize their ability to become college-ready and productive citizens in the workforce. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy, Early Childhood Education,  and a Master’s Degree in Science & Technology. She has a certificate from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Infrastructure Security Agency in Cybersecurity Practices for Industrial Control Systems, and Differences in Deployments of Industrial Control Systems.

I am only passionately curious.” Albert Einstein.  Her passion for Teaching and Technology has led her to her purpose to inspire students to graduate and pursue passions and interests, to mentor students on how to become productive citizens in the Global Market and provide knowledge needed for future careers in Information Technology.
