Welcome,

The purpose of Glenn Hills NJROTC is to instill in students the values of citizenship, service to the United States, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment.   NJROTC is offered to all students grades 9th-12th.

 THE GOALS of NJROTC are to:

Promote patriotism.
Develop informed and responsible citizens.
Develop leadership potential.
Promote habits of orderliness and precision and to develop respect for constituted authority.
Develop a high degree of personal honor, self-reliance, individual discipline, and leadership
Promote an understanding of the basic elements and requirements for national security.
Develop respect for and an understanding of the need for constituted authority in a democratic society and provide incentives to live a healthy and drug-free life.

Guiding Principles:

Everyone is expected to live by the Navy Core Values of **HONOR * COURAGE * COMMITMENT ** Regardless of your rank or your experience in the unit, you can, and must strive to live by the highest ethical standards.  You need to set the standard of ethical behavior and be the example through your own behavior, work ethic and treatment of others.

Sacrifice and long hours of community service will be required from time to time in this unit. It takes all involved to make this support service successful. 

 Attitude is everything:  Our success and happiness is not determined by what happens to us – they are determined by how we react to what happens.  You will be surprised at the effect a positive mental attitude will do for you in school (and life). 

As NJROTC Cadets, you are in positions of great privilege and opportunity.  You will learn the principles of leadership that will serve you when you graduate regardless of the path you choose, you will represent the Glenn Hills NJROTC unit in the community and you will have a lot of fun.
