With open arms, I welcome you to Glenn Hills High School and my homepage. I am Mrs. Jacqueline Harris, M.Ed. I’ve been an educator for twenty-eight years. This year makes it my 7th at Glenn Hills High! Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year.
I received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Management from Clark Atlanta University and a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University. I am certified to teach in the Richmond County School System.
This year our theme is Transformation on the Hill by radiating a Culture of Excellence from the Classroom to the Community. Glenn Hills truly means a lot to me! It is my alma mater, my three children attended the Hill, and my husband of 36 years is Coach James Harris. Glenn Hills High has hosted some of the greatest minds in the CSRA. Glenn Hills is geared toward providing a safe, encouraging learning environment with the hopes that every student will excel.
This year, I will be teaching Algebra Concept and Connections as well as, serving as the Mathematics Department Chair. I’m looking forward to all that is to come this school year!

My philosophy of education is that every child can learn as long as educators are willing to “think outside the box.” It is more along the lines of progressivism, which allows students to be individuals. This philosophy stems from my experience in working with students as well as my current position as a teacher. Three vital areas of my philosophy are as follows: (1) the role of a teacher; (2) diversity in families; and (3) the impact of societal views.
