    What is STEM?

STEM investigates how the four combined topics emerge in our daily lives.  According to the Science Pioneers organization, "Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics—STEM, and therefore, STEM education—are vital to our future—the future of our country, the future of our region and the future of our children.  STEM is everywhere; it shapes our everyday experiences."

Students will adhere to to the basic rules of respect for themselves and others, as well as lab safety rules, in order to maximize time for experiments in the science lab.

  • Students should be actively engaged in hands-on activities to enrich and allow a deeper processing of information, creating ideas of their own by synthesizing new information with prior information, as well as resulting in a sense of inquiry and awe.
