Dr. Sandra Joyner
Hello and welcome to my class page. I will be the K-2nd grade Augmented teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. My professional teaching background began in Daycare, then Headstart. In 2007, I left Head Start to embark on a career in the public school system. I became certified as a highly qualified Special Education Teacher in 2012 and was hired by the Richmond County School System. Last school year, I moved from Special Education teacher to Augmented teacher, and I love helping students discover strategies that can help them in their learning process. As of March 2022, I have completed my doctoral studies in Curriculum Assessment and Instruction. As an educator, I will do my best to assist my students with their academic needs.
My favorite things to do are: spending time with my family and loved ones, attending church, listening to gospel praise and worship music, the beach, and traveling. I love colors of purple, from light to dark, and all the shades of purple in between. My favorite foods are seafood (shrimp, scallops, spot(fish), a good T-Bone steak, a salad with raspberry vinaigrette, and baked sweet potatoes. I also like fresh fruit in season, like apples and pears in the Fall, sweet oranges and clementines in the Winter, and watermelons, cantaloupes, and plums in the Summer.
I am proud to be part of the Lamar-Milledge Elementary family, "where the Lions learn and lead."Thank you for entrusting me with the pleasure of teaching your students as we ROAR toward successfully reaching their academic goals and closing academic gaps.
