Welcome! I am a Special Education Teacher at Belair Elementary.  The 2024-2025 school year is here!  I am looking forward to working with your child this school year.  Please make sure homework is completed in a timely manner, Iready reading and Math lessons are completed.  Please have your child take time to study the skills they are learning and needing to build on so they can grow academically.   Homework is a daily requirement that allows parents to not only see what their student is learning but also to see where your child's level of understanding is on the standards.  The homework that is given should be modified based on your child's accomodations. Repetition of skills will make your child's skills increase and move that skill to long term memory.   If your child is struggling with homework or a skill, take the time to chunk the work in smaller managable parts and repeat/rephrase the directions.  Lets work together through communication and preparation of your child so we can achieve the goal of having your child to reach success this year.
