Hello,

I am the Music Teacher at Richmond Hill Elementary.  I am excited about working with the faculty, staff, and parents to provide a meaningful, high-quality education for

our students safely and enjoyably. I aim to teach music holistically while connecting it to other subjects such as history, reading, science, math, visual art, technology,

and aerobic activity (dance movement). This year will be great! Students may participate in the Christmas/Holiday Program this semester (December). I will provide

more information concerning the program as the season draws closer. We also have two programs for students in the spring. My goal is for the students to be able to

sing, dance, and play musical instruments. Throughout the year, students will learn about famous and important composers and performers. They will learn about the

functions of melody, harmony, rhythm, tempo, dynamics, and other musical signs and symbols. I teach kindergarten through 5th general grade Music. Students ARE

NOT required to play a particular musical instrument for this course.  My goal is for the students to gain an overall appreciation and understanding of general musical

history and various musical concepts while meeting the Georgia Standards of Excellence for their grade level. Parents, I look forward to meeting and hearing from you!
