Welcome Back ARJ Panthers!
I am looking forward to all the accomplishments and successes that the 2020-2021 school year has to offer. This year I am returning as a middle and high school counselor assigned to students with last names A-J. I am also excited to work with Ms. Young (students K-Z) and Mrs. Brigham (secretary) in the Counseling Department of ARJ.
This is my twentieth year as a school counselor--time flies when you enjoy what you do! As both a counselor and an English teacher, I've worked in elementary, middle and high schools throughout Richmond County. I love the process and reward of learning.
My fundamental school counseling approach is solutions-focused: Everyone has challenges and challenges become opportunities for solutions and growth. Key terms students hear from me are solution-building, perseverance, and resiliency.....all keys to a successful school year and successful living.

A little bit about me...
I am a certified school counselor with a B.A. in Psychology and a Master's Degree in School Counseling . This is my 12th year serving as a counselor. Prior to a career in school counseling, I served as a Middle Grades Language Arts teacher and a Special Education teacher.
