fWelcome to the Home of the Jacksonville
~We are a team of wildcats striving for greatness!
My name is Nakesha Jackson, and I am excited to be teaching a fantastic team of fifth- grade students. I sincerely believe that every child is capable of learning. It is my desire to educate and impact each student in a manner that drives them to become passionate about education! Although this year may look a little different, the Jaguars will work to remain calm and flexible as a team. We will also strive to become great readers, authors, mathematicians, scientists, and historians!
Professionally, I have taught for over ten years in the elementary school setting. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood from Valdosta State University and a Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction with a specialization in Reading from Lesley University. I am also certified as a Reading Specialist in grades P-12.
Personally, I am a wife and mom of three. When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, extended family, and friends. My hobbies include reading, drinking coffee, and rediscovering yoga.
~An excerpt from "Equipment" by Edgar A. Guest
Figure it out for yourself, my lad
You were born with all the great have had
Two arms, two hands, two legs, two eyes
And a brain to use if you would be wise.
With your equipment, they all began, so start for the top and say, "I Can."
