Assistant Principal's Message

  • Dear Wheeless Road Elementary Students, Parents, Teachers, Staff, and Community,

It is an honor to serve as the Assistant Principal of Wheeless Road Elementary, home of the Bumblebees. Each year, we have an opportunity to start off the new academic year with a chance to reach new heights as we set goals and strive to reach our full potential.  There will always be challenges ahead of us, but it is important for us to realize that with each challenge we are buildng character, learning, and growing.

A little about your Assistant Principal:  I am entering my 15th year as an educator with the Richmond County School System.  I was a teacher for 11 of those years.  I had the opportunity to teach and support all grades levels from Kindergarten to 5th Grade. It was a deeply rewarding experience that shaped me to be the administrator I am today.  Within my 11 years of teaching, I served as Teacher of the Year, RCSS SMART Mentor, RCSS Model Classroom, RCSS Curriculum Writing Project Team Member, RCSS Textbook Adoption Committee Member, school-based Professional Learning Facilitator, and served on a multitude of leadership teams. I was appointed the Assistant Principal of Wheeless Road Elementary in 2019.

I believe that with a positive attitude, a growth mindset, and good character anyone can achieve great things.  I strive to instill those qualities in our students and to be a positive role model as well.  It is my goal to assist in providing a safe and nurturing educational environment where students are reaching their full potential and moving towards their goals. It is also my goal to promote a positive school climate that supports academic, physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of every student.

I am excited about the possibilities that this school year will bring and proud to be part of the Wheeless Road School Community.  Let’s have a great 2021-2022 school year!

    Thank you,

    Tamarah L. Bing, Assistant Principal
