Hello! My name is Mrs. Favors, and I am excited to join the Belair Middle School community as your child’s 8th-grade science teacher. Although I’m new to Belair, I bring over 16 years of experience as a science educator. I was raised in southwest Georgia, where I was fortunate to have incredible teachers and a supportive family who helped me believe I could do anything. That foundation led me to earn a B.S. in Chemistry, and eventually a MPA with a concentration in community development and education policy. I have a deep passion for teaching science and an even greater passion for helping students realize they are capable of mastering challenging things. I set high expectations and work side by side with my students to ensure they are supported and successful. I’m truly looking forward to a fantastic school year of growth, curiosity, and achievement.
