Hello, I am Mrs. A. Williams and I am your child’s 8^th grade mathematics teacher here at Murphey Middle School. I attended Hammond Hill Elementary School, North Augusta Middle School, and North Augusta High School.  I earned my undergraduate degree in Marketing from South Carolina State College.  I attend Augusta State University where I obtained my certificate in Middle Grades Education. I then earned my Masters Degree in Education Leadership from Troy State University. After receiving my Masters, I returned to South Carolina State University where I earned my Educational Specialist degree in Education Leadership. 

I have been an educator for 31 years. I started my career as a paraprofessional at what was Lamar Elementary. I then received my teaching certificate and began teaching at East Augusta Middle School. I left the county for a year to serve as an Instruction Specialist with America’s Choice in Louisville, Georgia. I returned to Richmond County to serve as an 8^th grade mathematics teacher at Tubman Middle School. From there I went to Murphey Middle School where I taught 8^th grade math. During that time period, I became an Instructional Coach for Richmond County School System and served at Sego Middle, Murphey Middle and Langford Middle. I returned to Murphey Middle School as a 7^th grade math teacher.

I am married to Mr. Frederick Williams and the mother of two wonderful children. Nylah is 24 years old and Marcus is 22 years old. Nylah graduated from the University of West Georgia in December 2020 and Marcus will graduate from the same university in December 2022.
