Media Specialist

Being a media specialist has been a highlight of my teaching career.  I was a third grade teacher for eight years before becoming a librarian.  I use my teaching experience to promote a love for reading in the content areas.  Many of my lessons  incorporate STEM principals and career exploration.  Also, I am an avid participant of the Helen Ruffin Reading bowl.  Several of my teams have advanced to the regional competitions.
