Mrs. Washington
MTSS Lead / EIP Teacher
Thank you for visiting my page. I am dedicated to supporting students’ academic growth as the MTSS Lead and EIP Teacher. My goal is to help every child reach their full potential through targeted interventions and collaboration with families and educators.
Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
MTSS is a framework that provides varying levels of support to meet the academic and behavioral needs of all students. It ensures early identification and targeted intervention to help every student succeed. Parents, teachers, and all stakeholders work together collaboratively within MTSS to make informed decisions that best support each student’s unique learning needs.
Early Intervention Program (EIP) Overview
What is EIP?
EIP stands for Early Intervention Program. It is designed to support students who are not currently performing at grade level by providing additional instruction in Reading and Math.
Purpose of EIP:
The program focuses on reteaching skills and providing extra practice to help students improve and succeed academically.
How EIP Works:
- EIP instruction is provided alongside regular classroom teaching.
- EIP teachers collaborate with classroom teachers to reinforce skills.
- Students who qualify for both Reading and Math receive two instructional segments daily.
Important Notes:
- EIP does not replace classroom instruction. Students are expected to attend their regular classes, where grades are assigned.
