Welcome to Kindergarten!

My name is Tracey Humphrey, and I have been teaching here at Jamestown Elementary for 6 years, with this being my 7th year. I taught 3rd grade, 1st grade (virtual), 2nd grade, and now Kindergarten. Before working here, I taught for 2 years at Immacculate Conception School.

I graduated from Augusta State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. My "Why" for becoming a teacher is because I want to make a difference in my students' lives, and I love to see the "lightbulb" come on when they understand the standards and skills they are learning and practicing.

I do not have any children of my own, but I do have a dog who I consider my child. I also have 3 nieces that I enjoy spending time with. When I am not teaching or working on lesson plans, I like to spend my time reading or with family. 

I look forward to a wonderful and prosperous year growing with my students.
