Welcome to Second Grade!

My name is Tracey Humphrey. I have been teaching for 6 years with this being my 7th year. This is my 5th year at Jamestown Elementary, as well as my 5th year teaching in Richmond County. I taught 3rd grade my first year, virtual 1st grade my second year, EIP my third year, and 2nd grade Science and Social Studies last year. Before working here, I taught for 2 years at Immacculate Conception School.

I graduated from Augusta State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. My "Why" for becoming a teacher is because I want to make a difference in my student's lives, and I love to see the "lightbulb" come on when they understand the standards and skills they are learning and practicing.

I do not have any children of my own, but I do have a dog who I consider my child. I also have 3 nieces that I enjoy spending time with. When I am not teaching or working on lesson plans, I like to spend my time reading or with family. 

I look forward to a wonderful and prosperous year growing with my students.
