First Grade Welcome Letter 2025-2026 School Year

Dear parents and guardians,

Welcome to First Grade! I am delighted to have your child in my class this year, and I’m excited about all the learning, growth, and joyful moments that await us. First grade is a year filled with curiosity, independence, and big steps forward, and I feel honored to be part of your child’s journey.

Throughout the year, we will build strong foundations in reading, writing, math, and problem-solving. We will also learn how to work together, be good friends, and grow as confident, caring students. My classroom is a place where children are encouraged to ask questions, explore new ideas, and feel safe and supported every day.

Communication between home and school is very important to me. I look forward to partnering with you to help your child succeed. Please feel free to reach out anytime with questions, concerns, or ideas. Together, we can make this a wonderful and successful year.
