Hello and welcome to 4th grade! I am Mrs. De La Rosa, and I am passionate about education and student success. I love reading, and I hope to instill that same passion in my students through fun and enriching activities.

4th grade reading standards continue to build on what your child learned last year. Some of these key concepts include:

• Reading and writing in opinion, narrative, and informational genres
• Using various story elements, such as dialogue and setting, to determine theme
• Paraphrasing and summarizing a text

The 2019-2020 school year brings new and exciting opportunities for students to learn and grow in their new school! I look forward to a wonderful school year!
