Deer Chase Elementary is proud to announce our Annual Science Fair. In an overabundance of caution, the Deer Chase Elementary Science Fair will now be held VIRTUALLY on February 3, 2022! This year we will be hosting a virtual fair utilizing Flipgrid to share and view the science experiments.
- A science fair project is required for all 4th and 5th grade students.
Science Project Requirements (Due Jan. 24th):
- The following project materials are required and will count as two science grades:

- A student may upload a Word document of up to 4 pages of a log book as a record of their research timeline.
Science Fair Requirements (Due Jan. 24th for judging):
- The video presentation is required to enter the science fair.
- Video presentations must be uploaded to Flipgrid. This how the projects will be judged.
- Students should avoid projects that involve humans, vertebrate animals and hazards.
- You can work on your project by yourself or with family members in the same household (Deer Chase Students ONLY).
- While parent involvement is welcomed, we strongly encourage students to do as much as possible on their own.
