Bruce Flournoy

Hello and welcome to the 2022-23 school year!  I am fully committed to serving, staff, teachers and parents of DCES by enriching each student’s academic achievement as well as creating a safe environment for learning.

I moved to Augusta twenty nine years ago having originated from South Carolina. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina in Columbia.  I have been with the Richmond County Board of Education for twenty eight years.  I worked as a seventh grade middle school teacher for fifteen years during which I obtained my Master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling and Specialist of Education in Educational Leadership in Curriculum both from Cambridge College.  I hope to bring a sense of creativity to the already dynamic and accomplished staff here at DCES.  I look forward to working with you and your student throughout the year.  Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time if I can be of assistance.
