In May of 2022 I was awarded the 2023 Richmond County Music Teacher of the year!

     I have been teaching Elementary Music and Chorus since 2007,

all in the Richmond County School System in Augusta, Georgia. 

Prior to my time at Lake Forest Hills, I taught music at Garrett, National Hills, Hornsby,

and Meadowbrook Elementary.  Before receiving my Bachelor of Arts

in Music and a Master of Arts in Teaching, both from Augusta State University, 

I attended all Richmond county public schools:

Which means I am not just a LFH Dolphin, I am also a lifetime AU Jaguar,

Warren Road Warrior, Tutt Dragon, AND Westside Patriot!

     It is exciting and fun teaching music, giving

students a creative space and opportunities to express themselves

through the arts. In my free time I like to travel, play trivia and strategy games,

cook, and perform in musical theater, concerts and at weddings.  I also love karaoke!

     We have a fabulous son named Max, born in 2019. He loves music, just like his parents.
