Vision: The Richmond County School System will provide an equitable education for all students to prepare them for life beyond the classroom.
Mission: Building a globally competitive school system that educates the whole child through teaching, learning, collaboration, and innovation.
Dear Students and Parents,
I hope you are all well. I have thought about you every day we have been apart. It is now time to wrap-up loose ends to close out the school year. You need to be aware of the following dates and times:
Friday, May 22, 11-1-Last Day for Student Lunches
Thursday and Friday, May 21 & May 22, 10-12-Parents may return student work packets, textbooks, and library books. A drop-off bin will be provided at the flag pole. Make sure everything is labeled with the student’s name, grade, and teacher’s name. Returned items will not be received at the front door.
Monday, May 25-Memorial Day Holiday
Tuesday, May 26, 9-11-Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Grade Parents-Pick-up Scholastic Summer School Packets and student belongings
Wednesday, May 27, 9-11-Second and Third Grade and Mrs. Murray’s Class Parents-Pick-up Scholastic Summer School Packets and student belongings
Thursday, May 28, 9-11-Fourth and Fifth Grade Parents-Pick-up Scholastic Summer School Packets and student belongings
Parent pick-up is drive-thru the car line, on the side of the school, not the front. Remain in your car. You must adhere to the above schedule so the appropriate teachers will be available to you. The school is not open to the public. You will not be able to enter the building at all, not even the front office. The school is closed. We will be following social distancing to keep everyone safe. Please do not come to the front door and ring the doorbell. Thank you for your understanding and support.
Final report cards will be mailed to you from the district office on June 1.
Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Grade Students who paid to go to Storyland Theatre to see Beauty and the Beast, will attend in the Fall.
I am retiring at the end of this school year. My year at Blythe Elementary has been very rewarding.
Forever wishing you well,
Calling All Parents,
Did you know that completing your Census is important to Richmond County Schools? Many programs that our district relies on have funding that is tied to Census data. The funding we receive for the School Lunch Program, special education, and Title I schools are all impacted by Census counts. In less than 10 minutes, you can help ensure that we receive our share of funding for our students. If you haven’t already, you can complete the Census at www.my2020census.gov or by calling 844-330-2020.
