    Hello (Hola),

I am Leonardo Rivera, originally from Puerto Rico, and proudly dedicated to education, service, and community. With a strong background as a former middle and high school athlete, I enjoyed playing basketball, volleyball, baseball, and softball—experiences that instilled in me the values of teamwork and discipline.

Beyond my professional life, I am an active member of two motorcycle associations: the Christian Motorcycle Association Chapter 952 and the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association GA 25-6. I also enjoy cycling, listening to music, and spending quality time with my family.

Academically, I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Education, as well as two Master's Degrees—one in Theology and the other in Middle School Education.

I proudly served in the United States Army for 25 years, during which I was deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait. My military service has deeply shaped my sense of purpose, leadership, and resilience.

I am a devoted husband and father of three wonderful children, and I remain committed to guiding and supporting the next generation through education and mentorship.

    Dear parents / guardians,

Welcome to My Spanish Class Website!

I’m excited to have the opportunity to teach Spanish to your children this school year. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about how you can support your child in Spanish class.

I’m delighted to be your child’s teacher for the 2024–2025 school year. Your child will attend Spanish class every other day for seventy minutes. Throughout the year, each unit will focus on vocabulary, grammar, and conversational skills.

In my classroom, students will be immersed in the Spanish language and also introduced to the rich and diverse cultures of various Spanish-speaking countries. I will provide meaningful opportunities for your child to explore both the language and the cultural traditions of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Student evaluation will be based on class participation, assignments, projects, quizzes, and tests.

Thank you for being your child’s first and most important supporter in education. I look forward to a fun and engaging year. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns regarding your child’s academic progress.

    Thanks,

    Mr. Rivera
