• Welcome!

     

    Hi there! My name is Jaclyn Smith. I’m so excited to be your child’s 8th Grade Mathematics and Enhanced Algebra teacher this year. With experience teaching both middle and high school math, and having served as an instructional specialist, I bring a deep love for learning and a passion for helping students reach their full potential. I am fully invested in my students and it brings me so much joy to watch them grow in confidence and succeed academically.  

     

    When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me outdoors with my family, enjoying time together on our farm. I love sunshine, fresh air, and any excuse to visit the beach - my favorite vacation spot!

     

    Fun Facts About Me:

    • I lived overseas in Okinawa, Japan, for two years.

    • I own a farm full of animals - I love it, but it is a lot of hard work!

     

    I’m looking forward to a fantastic school year filled with learning, growth, and lots of math success!

    All class information is located in Canvas. Parents, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. I strongly encourage you to obtain your child's username and password for Canvas, so that you may actively monitor their course content online. Additionally, please be sure that you have established a Parent Portal account. This account will allow you to stay up-to-date with your child's grades for each class, as well as their attendance record.
