Hello (Hola),

I'm Mr. Leonardo Rivera from Puerto Rico. I was a middle school and high school athlete. I played basketball, volleyball, baseball, and softball. My hobbies include riding a motorcycle with my groups: Christian Motorcycle Association #952 and Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association #25-6, cycling, listening to music, and spending time with my family. I attended college where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, as well as another in Education, and my Master's Degree in Theology. I served my country for 25 years as a U.S. Army soldier and participated in three (deployed) mobilizations (Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait).  I'm married with three wonderful children.

Dear Parents / Guardians, 

Welcome to my Spanish class website! 
 I want to take the opportunity to let you know that I am very excited about teaching Spanish to your children. I am happy you want to learn more about how to help your child with the Spanish class.
 I am delighted to be your child’s teacher this 2024-2025 school year. Your child will have Spanish class every other day for seventy minutes.  Throughout the year, each unit taught will be based on vocabulary, grammar, and conversations.

During my classes, my students will be exposed to Spanish, not only the language - but also the culture of various Spanish-speaking countries. I will provide ample opportunities for your child to explore the language and culture of different countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. Our evaluation system will include class participation, work, projects, quizzes, and tests. 
Thank you for being the first supporter of your child's education.  I look forward to having a fun and exciting year and I encourage all parents/guardians to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about your child's academic progress.
