Welcome Message

Hello parents and students!!!!
I am excited to welcome you to my classroom, EIP Intervention, as we embark on a full year of learning! Let me begin by introducing myself. My name is Mrs. Shepherd, and I look forward to helping your child close the achievement gap through rigorous interventions that are fun and engaging. I am originally from Florida, but I completed high school here in Richmond County (Spartan Nation). I graduated from Troy University (Troy, Alabama) with my undergraduate degree and graduated from Liberty University (Lynchburg, VA) with my Master’s degree. Lastly, this is my eighth year here on the Hill.
My goal: Parent + Teacher + Student= SUCCESS
I believe that EVERY student can learn!!!!! I believe education works like kinetic energy. The more work a student puts into their education, the more successful they will be!
READ! READ! READ! READ!
Reading is very important! The more a student reads, the more they will know! Statistics show that students who read at least 20 minutes a day generally will score in the 90th percentile on standardized tests. I encourage you to have your child read to you or your family daily.
Thanks so much in advance for being an important part of your student's life!
