Mrs. Tremel Britt
My name is Mrs. Britt, and I am a Virginia native. One thing that people say about me is that I am deeply rooted in the military lifestyle. My father was in the Army, so you could say I was born in the miliary. I grew up and joined the Air Force at 17. Later, I married a Service member, and that is how I ended up living here near Fort Eisenhower Army Base. But my favorite place has always been the beach, so no matter where we have been stationed over the years, I have always enjoyed going back home to Virginia Beach.
While in the Air Force, I became an Instructor, and that led to me pursuing a degree in Education. After leaving the service, I became a college professor and a public school teacher. Over the years, I have had the privilege of teaching in CA, MD, PA before settling in Georgia. I earned a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Mount Saint Mary's College in Pennsylvania and a Master's Degree from Chapman University in California in Curriculum and Instruction. Since then, I have gained certifications such as Reading and ESOL Endorsements and a wealth of different experiences while teaching in several McDuffie County and Richmond County Schools.
I am currently teaching 3rd Grade at Barton Chapel Elementary School. I look forward to getting to know the students and staff, and doing my part to contribute to the local community through helping to educate the children who will become future leaders of the CSRA.
