Welcome to 2nd Grade at McBean Elementary!  I am Mrs. Edwards and I have been teaching at McBean for the past 18 years.  The new school year always gets me very excited because I have the opportunity to teach a new group of students.  

     In 2006, I graduated from Augusta State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education.  I taught 1st grade for eight years and this will be my eleventh year in 2nd grade.  It is truly my heart's desire to see each of my students achieve success and become the best they can be!    

     I have been blessed with three awesome children, and four fabulous bonus sons.  Three of my children had the opportunity to attend McBean during their elementary years.  One of my daughters graduated from Georgia State University, my son is now an 8th grade Social Studies teacher in Burke County, and my youngest daughter is currently a paraprofessional at McBean. My children are doing so well in their endeavors now, because of the great foundation they received at McBean Elementary School!
