WELCOME TO MRS. JONES'  CLASSROOM!!!

Name: Mrs. V. Jones

My name is Mrs. Jones.  I am originally from Virginia and have been in the Augusta, Georgia area for several years. I am a veteran who served in the United States Army.  I have one daughter.

Here are some of my favorite things:
Books: Pete the Cat books and any story books, especially the ones with really great illustrations.

Foods: Chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter, and I looooooove coffee!

Hobbies: Learning new things from first graders 💛, cooking, shopping and doing yard work.

Favorite colors: black, red, brown, orange, blue, and green.

I am really good at drawing pictures and reading stories out loud. Other things are
harder for me, like keeping my desk organized, and solving math problems, but I keep
trying, and I am getting better each year. What are you good at? Are there things
you’d like to do better, but is it hard for you now?

In my room, we call these things goals. Maybe we can help each other to reach our goals! My goal for you is to
become a better reader, so you can learn more, and do more things, independently,
which means ‘all by yourself.’ I look forward to learning all about you, and reading the stories that you will write in
my class. I can’t wait to get to know you!
