Transformation Happens Here!
Mr. Jabal M. Moss
Hello Dragon Nation!
Welcome to the wonderful world of 8th grade Math and Algebra One! It is an exciting time to be a student in the Richmond County School System, but more importantly, at John M. Tutt Middle School, where we R.O.A.R loudly!
My name is Jabal M. Moss, and I will teach 8th-grade Math and Algebra 1 this school year. I am excited to be a member of the village that will help your child receive a high-quality education, be engaged in learning, and be transformed to optimal success. 8th grade is an important year for students as the reality of going to high school will come quickly! I hope that each student transforms into the person they desire to be. I plan to do all I can to ensure that transformation takes place in a clean, conducive, healthy, and inspiring learning environment. My goal is to teach the students and give them the tools necessary to be all they can be.
To give a little more background on me. I am a native of Augusta, Georgia. I was educated in the Richmond County School System, graduating from Cross Creek High School in 2009. After graduating from Cross Creek High School, I enrolled at Paine College, Georgia Southern University, and Webster University. I spent seven (7) years teaching and promoting diversity and student success at the collegiate level. I have worked for Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia; Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida; Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee; and Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. This will be my third year in Richmond County. I spent two years at Richmond Hill K8, and this will be my first year at Tutt Middle School. I am excited about this school year and teaching your child!
I look forward to a collaborative and healthy working relationship between parents-guardians, students, and myself this school year!
