HEY THERE!!! Hope you all have had an enjoyable summer break and are READY to get back to this beautiful thing called LEARNING. My name is Katrina Moore, and it is my pleasure to serve the staff, students, and parents in the role of a MTSS Facilitator here at HMS.  If you're wondering or have questions about the MTSS process, please click the tab listed "What is MTSS?".

A Little About Me

Well to start, I am a 3rd generation educator (I stand a little taller when I say that my maternal grandmother and my mother were both teachers). Therefore, this is so much more than a career for me. My mom said I would be a teacher one day and, well, she was right. My path to being an educator began at Paine College. After graduating from Paine with a degree in Psychology, I enrolled and completed my Masters of Education with Counseling Emphasis at Troy University. Soon after that, I received my Masters of Art in Teaching from Augusta State University. To further my skills and knowledge, I went back to Augusta State and earned my Specialist in Teaching and Learning.

I am estaic that this will be my 15th year of serving the parents and students of Richmond County. Throughout these 16 years, I have served as a teacher at Meadowbrook Elementary, Spirit Creek Middle School, Richmond Hill K8, and the Performance Learning Center. I was an Instructional Specialist at Murphey Middle School for 5 years and 1 as the Reading Interventionist.

Lastly, I am a mother of two incredibly gifted and talented children. They both inspire me each day to be the best educator I can be, because I want the same type of educator for them. Those two are a big part of my "WHY?"
