    Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year!!!

     

    It is hard to believe that it is the start of another exciting school year again!  I am excited to have your child in my classroom this year. I have the belief that by working together we will make this a very successful school year. It is very important that you play an active role in your child’s education. 

    A little bit about me!!!!

    I graduated from Troy State University with my Bachelor's in 2008 and earned my Master’s Degrees in 2015 & 2019 from the University of Phoenix and Augusta University, and earned my Educational Specialist degree in 2021 from Augusta University. In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, traveling, shopping, and sharing a lot of laughs with any and everyone I come in contact with! Making memories with the ones you love, and making every minute count is the entire purpose of living! 

    Your child is very special and important to me!  I want them to LOVE 3rd grade and come away with positive memories for a lifetime.  They should be happy, feel good about themselves and school, and work cooperatively with others. I have very high expectations for each and every student; that's why our class vision is:

    In Ms. Barnes' class, we come to school ready to learn! We respect everyone, work together and learn from our mistakes. We make safe choices, stay focused and take pride in our work. We never give up!
