PURPOSE

To support the school's STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) curriculum, it emphasizes math's role in daily life and future careers. Encourage students to embrace math through team-based activities and competitions. 

GOALS

The goal of the Hains Elementary math team is to encourage participation in math competitions, regular practice sessions, and problem-solving activities that will help team members develop their mathematical skills and understanding. Members will work together to solve challenging mathematics problems, share solutions, and encourage and promote each other's learning in an effort to foster a spirit of friendship and teamwork. Team mentoring, public speaking opportunities, and leadership training can all contribute to team members' personal development.

REQUIREMENTS OF CLUB

Students master grade-level math topics. Students are enthusiastic about math and willing to learn and participate in it. Students are good citizens, team-oriented, and eager to learn and collaborate.
