Hello, everyone!
I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself as one of the First-Grade teachers here at Hains Elementary. My name is Daphne Keel, and I am so THRILLED to be your child’s 1st grade teacher. Teaching has always been an absolute passion of mine, and I am so excited to work with you and your child. This year will be full of learning, fun, and lots of adventures, and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us.
I am from Waynesboro, Georgia but have lived around the world due to my husband’s military career. I lived in Germany for three years, and while living there, I worked as a Co-Teacher for the Army’s Department of Defense for two years. There, I earned my Child Development Associate. After relocating from Germany to Georgia, I worked as a Certified Paraprofessional with the Columbia County School System. I graduated from The University of South Carolina Aiken with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.
My husband Steven and I have an 18-year-old daughter named Megen who is a first-year student in college and an 8-year-old miniature schnauzer named Prince Bentley. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies, and shopping with my daughter. I am dedicated to my teaching profession, and I will make every learning opportunity unique and special for each of my students in their way.
I look forward to working with all the students in my classroom. I could not possibly be more excited about all the wonderful things we will learn together this year!
