Planning a trip to the media center? Sign up and reserve your spot!
Bookings are available based on the service requested.
1. Select a service. Self-sign-up services are:
- Planning with Media Specialist (45 minutes): Reserve a time for you or your team to meet and plan with Mrs. Franks for any of your instructional needs.
- Media Center Orientation (45 minutes): This is required for your class to take at the beginning of the year only. This orientation should take place before checking out any books. The orientation will cover topics such as Destiny, library policies, fees, media center tour, student library cards, etc.
- Checkout (30 minutes): Reserve a time to bring your whole class in to check out books.Not needed for small groups.**Please ensure your class has done the media center orientation prior to signing up for Class Checkout.
- StoryTime (20 minutes): Reserve a time to have Mrs. Franks read to your class. You are encouraged to request special topics or books.
- Makerspace/STEM time (30 minutes): This is for when you want to utilize centers in the media center. These can include: art, puzzles, legos, magnatiles, k'next, brain builders, bristle blocks or a variety of items that are age appropriate.
If you are coming in for something OTHER than the above, such as a lesson, it must be scheduled directly with Mrs. Franks. For example, if you are interested in me teaching your class a lesson in the media center, please contact me by email requesting the lesson. Once I know what you are wanting me to work with your class on, I will schedule a time that works for both of our schedules and send you a calendar invite. Please do not use the link for check out to sign up for a class lesson.
Teachers must accompany and stay with classes that come to the media center. Please plan to participate with them and assist with the process.
2. Select an available day and time from those offered.
3. Special Notes:
- Add Comments: If you are requesting something specific for your service, such as a specific book for read aloud.
- Use your Richmond Office 365 email. This service should sync with your Outlook calendar.
4. Click the book button!
You will receive an email confirmation of your appointment, and should also receive a reminder email. If you give your phone number, you can sign up for text notifications too. (not required)
