Thank you for the opportunity to work with your child and please feel free to contact me through my email (email@example.com) if you have any questions or concerns about the gifted program or your child’s placement in the program.
Please make sure to keep your contact information updated with your child's homeroom teacher as necessary so I am always able to contact you should the need arise. If contact information changes, please let the homeroom teacher as soon as possible so that the contact information can be updated in Infinite Campus. Our classroom is now linked with Dojo. I will be sending information home with your child on how to link with our classroom.
Students do not receive a grade on their report cards from their gifted resource class. Progress reports are provided to parents twice a year to document progress as well as identify areas of concern. In addition, a conference can be scheduled with the gifted resource teacher at any time to disucss student progress. The gifted teacher does attend parent conferences with the homeroom teacher and offers imput form the gifted resources classroom prespective and her observations. Student work in the gifted classroom is maintained in a portfolio which is available at anytime for the parent to view. Work placed in the portfolio is graded by rubric and commentary is provided on the rubric to address the quality of the work product.
