Greetings! My name is Karen Jacobs. I am a Special Education, Self-Contained Teacher. This will be my 4th year of teaching at Hains Elementary School. I have had a great experience as a part of the Hains community. I am excited to continue this journey with your child(ren) this 2022-2023 school year.

In May of 2007, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Voorhees College, Demark, South Carolina. In May 2009, I received a Master's in School Guidance Counseling from Cambridge College, Boston, Massachusetts. In May of 2016, I graduated with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Troy University of Augusta, Georgia campus. In addition, I have completed the Alternative Pathway- Special Education Program from University of Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona.

I absolutely LOVE the grades I teach and all of the exploring, learning and fun we get to have! I am also committed to building a classroom community where each of my students feels loved and valued. The friendships I create with my students and their families are such a treasure to me and I truly believe it is a starting point to an excellent year!

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, especially my daughter, Ashlyn, my granddaughter, Trinity and my nieces, Jasmine and Jynecia; they are my heartbeats.
