Past Due Assignments

  • Dear Richmond County School System Employees:

The last few weeks have been different for all of us as the coronavirus has spread across our country and now here in Augusta. The change and uncertainty has impacted everyone. In this time, I have witnessed the resilient spirit of our students, parents, staff and community. We are unified by a resounding commitment to not be broken by this virus; rather, we have chosen to be stronger together. We have connected, in the midst of distance, to help each other address needs of our medical community and local business and to bridge the gap for our neighbors with basic needs for food, shelter and access to technology for students. On behalf of the Richmond County School System, I would like to thank our parents and community partners for their support to make what we’ve accomplished possible.

Today, Governor Kemp issued an executive order closing all Georgia school facilities through the end of the school year. Governor Kemp's order means the Richmond County School System will continue to support our students and parents in the distance learning environment through the end of the 2019-2020 school year. Our students and staff will observe Spring Break, as scheduled, from April 6 through April 13. I hope Spring Break will give many in our community an opportunity to recharge. Please remember to remain safe and observe Governor Kemp's shelter in place order along with CDC recommendations for hand washing and social distancing in order to flatten the curve. When possible, stay at home.

We are all in this together and I am confident we will finish the school year strong.

    Sincerely,

    Dr. Kenneth Bradshaw

    Superintendent of Schools

  • Hello,

In support of distance learning while students and staff are out due to COVID-19, I have chosen to use our blended learning platform on launch pad. All students have access as launchpas is used when students take state test. They already have their sign on information.

Please also check my files on my web page for documentation that was communicated to them on Monday.

All assignments will be posted on Launchpad/Blended learning. click https://launchpad.classlink.com/rcboe

All communication will be through the following:

Students with low or no internet access click on home page, then welcome, then assignments to complete all assignments. Email them to me or bring them in when we return.

    Be safe. Talk soon,

    S. Simmons
