Dr. Erica Peek / EIP Math
-
Welcome to WRES and thank you for visiting my page! As the new school year begins, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Dr. Peek and I am one of the EIP teachers here at Warren Road. I teach EIP Math and Mrs. Mayson teaches EIP Reading. What is EIP? EIP stands for the Early Intervention Program. EIP is a state funded program designed to serve students in grades K-5 who are at risk of not reaching or maintaining academic grade level in Reading and/or Math. The purpose of EIP is to provide additional instructional resources to help students, who are performing below grade level, achieve the necessary skills to reach grade level standards. It is our hope that students can make these gains and exit the program as quickly as skills are improved. As an educator, I use a variety of strategies to help meet the needs of my students wherever gaps in their learning exist. I enjoy the challenge of building their foundational math skills, so that they may experience success now and for years to come. My main aim is to provide your child with the best support possible to help them meet or exceed their grade level goals. Through hard work and collaboration, exiting EIP is a possibility.I invite you to be an active part of your child’s education. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have this school year. You may give me a call at 706-868-4022 or reach out to me by email: peeker@boe.richmond.k12.ga.us. I look forward to working with your child and the opportunity of getting to know you. Together we can make this school year a positive influence in your child’s life. See you soon!
