¡Hola! ¡Bienvenidos a la clase de Español!

My name is Sr. Rios. I have been teaching at Cross Creek High School for a year and a half as a Spanish teacher. I find Cross Creek a great high school to teach while getting involved in its extra-curriculum activities which give me an opportunity to get to know students outside the classroom. I can honestly say that I am very proud to be part of the Razorbacks family.

I am also proud to have served in the United States Navy for 24 years as a Spanish and Arabic linguist. The Navy gave me a worldwide opportunity to use both of my languages in a professional and personal manner while serving and living stateside and abroad. It also gave my family and I the opportunity to know the people and cultures of both languages making us more aware of our similarities as people versus our differences.

Prior and after retirement from the United States Navy, I completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business with a Concentration in Management from University of Phoenix, Augusta, Georgia; Associate of Science Degree in Applied Science Administration and Management from Excelsior College, Albany, New York; and an Associate of Liberal Arts Degree in the Arabic Language from Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center, Monterey, California.

I am married to a wonderful wife and we have three sons. All of our three sons have graduated from college (Georgia Tech, University of Georgia and Georgia University; and Georgia Military College.

It is a great pleasure to teach and serve at Cross Creek High School home of the RAZORBACKS!
