All ABout Me! Mrs. Cummings

Hello! My name is Dorothy Cummings. I have been in Richmond County school system for many years teaching Elementary, Middle and High school, General Music, and Chorus.

 Music has always been a huge part of my life, even from a young age. I played the viola for seven years and participated in my high school and college choruses I just love to sing, particularly opera.

 I received my Bachelor of Music. from South Carolina State University, in Music Performance with an emphasis in Vocal Performance. I attended Troy State University and completed a Master of Education in Counseling/ Psychology.

 I am a devoted mother of three wonderful kids. I am a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

On a volunteer/community level, I have also had the privilege of singing with Jessye Norman. I have performed with various Chorales, such as the Augusta Chorale and the Augusta Choral Society to perform sacred concerts. These musical opportunities have, and continue to enrich my life.

During my free time, I enjoy shopping, singing, dancing cooking, and being with my family!
