    Image result for education    WELCOME to the 2019-2020 school  year here at Freedom Park School! My name is Yolunda Walters-Hopps and I will also be either your child's teacher or case manager. I am the SpEd Department Chair for grades K - 4 as well as the SpEd ELA instructor.  My classroom is one of growth, learning, exploration and productivity. I will challenge your child to become the best he or she can be and to begin advocating for themselves regarding their disABILITY. I purposefully capitalized the ABILITY portion of that word because it is that which will be the focal point of your childs learning experience in my class.
     
    I call my students 'HEROES' because I feel as if it is my responsibility to help find and cultivate their learning superpowers! I promote a family-like atmosphere, therefore, rest assured, your child will be well taken care of and nurtured in what I like to call "Hopps' House". I am excited about all this year has to offer and please do not hesitate to call upon me should the need arise.
