Greetings Eagles Nation!

A little about me... I am a proud native of Georgia, having grown up in the countryside. My academic journey has taken me through several prestigious institutions. I graduated with honors from Hephzibah High School, ranking 5th out of 256 graduates. I then earned an Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice and Psychology (Cum Laude) from East Georgia State College. At Georgia Southwestern State University, I made history as the first undergraduate to receive a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice (Cum Laude). I furthered my education with a Master of Science in Criminal Justice and Criminology, with an emphasis track in Law Enforcement and Crime Prevention, from the University of Cincinnati. I also hold a Doctor of Philosophy in Criminal Justice from Walden University and a Master of Arts in Teaching Special Education from Georgia College and State University. Currently, I am pursuing an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership (Principal-Track) at A-State University.

More so, with six years of experience as an educator, I have taught in various settings, including Special Education, General Education, Math and English, Honors English, Forensic Science, and Government courses at the middle and high school levels in Georgia and Florida. Additionally, I have served as a Reading Specialist and participated in the Aspiring Leaders Program in Florida, aiming to become an assistant principal. My goal is to become a high school principal and a leading figure in the educational field. I am passionate about reading and researching topics related to criminal justice, special education laws, school leadership, and student growth and academic achievement.

I am delighted to personally welcome you to T.W. Josey High School for the 2024-2025 school year! As one of the Learning Specialists in the Special Education Department, I am excited to work alongside our wonderful students, parents, faculty, staff, and community stakeholders. My goal is to ensure each student has a successful academic year and feels supported in their educational journey.

As Nelson Mandela once said, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." I look forward to getting to know each of you and sharing the many achievements and milestones we will accomplish together. Let's make this year one of growth, learning, and memorable experiences!
