My name is Kathy L. Maddox. I am from Athens, Georgia and have been living in Augusta, Georgia for thirty-four years.  I am a proud graduate of Paine College, where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts. I obtained a Masters in Education and a Masters in Sciences from Troy University and my Educational Specialist from Cambridge College.  I am also licensed by the state of Georgia as A Licensed Professional Counselor.  

After teaching Fourth, Fifth, and Seventh grade Social Studies and Language Arts, I became a school counselor. I have a total of twenty-eight years of working with students and families in Richmond County. 

It is my honor to join the T. W. Josey High School Counseling Department as the 9th (last names A-H) and 10th grade counselor.   I am excited to have the opportunity to work with students, families, faculty, and staff.
