    Is Freedom Park a zoned school?

    Freedom Park School is a K-8th grade public school located on Fort Eisenhower. We are not a DOD school, but a public school in the Richmond County School System district. Students of active duty service members who live on post are zoned for the school - Richmond County School System

    Can my students attend Freedom Park?

    Students of military affiliated members who live on post are zoned for the school. Students of military affiliated personnel who live off post and Richmond County may apply for a zone waiver. Please contact the School Options Office at (706)826-1136 for details. No one at the school can grant zone waivers or provide information regarding space availability.

    How do I register my student for Kindergarten - 8th Grade?

    How do I apply for a space in PreK?

    All applications for the Pre-K lottery will be processed online through the RCSS website.

    School Hours:

    School hours are 7:25 AM - 2:15 PM

     

    The building is open to receive students at 6:50 AM. Please do not drop students off before this time as there may not be anyone to monitor them.

    The end of the school day is 2:15 PM Students who leave school before 2:15 PM will be counted tardy until a doctor's note is received. Early dismissal ends at 1:45 PM. To protect the instructional day of all students, we do not release students early to avoid long lines. Calling into classes to release students early is disruptive to the education of all students in that class. Emergencies and doctor's appointments will be handled on a case by case basis. 

     

    Dismissal

    For the safety of our students, the front door will be locked from 1:45-2:15 PM. At this time, the entire student body is moving around the building to their dismissal location. Adding more people in the foyer area (adults standing to wait on their students with or without other small children) increases the traffic and is a safety hazard for our current and future Eagles.

     

     

    What do I do when I arrive at school?

    Your GPS will direct you to 42nd Street. This is actually the rear of the school. You want to park in the parking lot on 44th Street. Push the gray button on the door to gain access to the school. Please be sure to have your ID available to present. When you enter the school, go to the front office. An administrative assistant will guide you from there. 

     

    How does the school communicate with parents?

    Communication – Freedom Park understands communication is important in any relationship. Please check out the following pages, instant/mobile messaging sites, and social media sites we use to communicate with our families. This is also a great way to get to know us better.

    1. Class DoJo– This is an instant messaging account we use to communicate real-time information. Example, “Parents, this is a reminder that report cards will be distributed tomorrow.”
    2. Infinite Campus - Phone calls and emails are sent regarding upcoming events. This will also be the primary method of communication in the event of an emergency. 
    3. Facebook - Follow us on our Facebook page, Freedom Park School! Please be advised that the Facebook page for Freedom Park Elementary School is a private page and is not associated with our school.
