This course is a general survey of American History from the early European exploration to the present. Emphasis will include early exploration, development of our country through war and territorial expansion, transformation of our political systems, economic development, industrial revolution and much more. We will also look at how the past influenced this country's history and government. Throughout the course, students will realize that history is an ongoing process, in which situations in the past, create problems for the future.
