Hello, I am Ms. Renee Beard. I will be your child's Social Studies and Science teacher for the 2021/2022 school year at Freedom Park School.  This is my fifth year at Freedom Park.  I love this school!  I look forward to teaching your child more about our government, Native American Indians, explorers, and much more.  Students will also learn about recycling, regions of Georgia, fossils.  

About me.......... I am from Rome, Georgia. It is small town in Northwest Georgia.  I moved to Augusta seven years ago to start a new chapter of my life. I have one son, Markevus Beard, he  still lives in Rome, Ga.  I graduated from Shorter University 2014 with a Bachlors in Early Childhood Education.  I have loved every minute of teaching our children.  I am starting my thirteenth year in the Georgia school systems. I am certified and worked six years in Rome with Special Education before moving to Augusta.  

I look forward to a great year.  I believe in the lyrics in the song "Greatest Love of All" by Whitney Houston. " I believe the children are our future.  Teach them well and let them lead the way.  Show them all the beauty they possess inside. Give them a sense of pride to make it easier."
