Dear Hephzibah Rebel Family:
Due to the nature of the coronavirus, conditions can change quickly. To prepare for the start of the 2020-21 school year, the Richmond County School System has created options for a safe and orderly return. Families can choose from:
The first day of school is tentatively scheduled for August 3. Please note that all information is subject to change based on COVID-19.
If a student chooses the virtual learning option, they must register online by July 20, 2020. To register online, go to https://www.rcboe.org/onlineacademy. This link provides information about registration, computer distribution, and the calendar for the semester. Please note that students who choose the online option will be required to work through the first quarter, December 11, 2020. They will not be able to return to Hephzibah High School until the second semester. The schedule allows students to travel to their zoned school to participate in after school extra-curricular activities if they are available.
Senior portraits are scheduled for July 14-July 16, with Lifetouch as our photographer this year. A flyer with information will be mailed to the student’s home address directly from the company.
Graduation is tentatively scheduled for July 21 at 8:00 a.m. at the James Brown Arena. Please continue to monitor the website for virtual graduation information and updates.
