Building a world-class school system through education, collaboration, and innovation.
Dear Hephzibah High Family:
Your child will bring home his/her report card for first quarter on Thursday, October 17, 2019. Please keep in mind that this is the first picture of your child’s achievement this school year. Your child’s report card reflects his/her progress towards the end of the year academic expectations. Students with a grade of 69 or below will receive a grade recovery opportunity. Please see the individual teacher for more information.
Additionally, we will administer content benchmarks the week of October 21-Ocotber 28. Benchmarks are used to describe what your child should be able to do at the end of this school year. Students with 504 and IEP accommodations will receive small group testing if that is documented their respective plans. These benchmarks will be administered three times per year. They are directly correlated to the End of Course Standards (EOC) standards.
The SAT will be administered on Saturday, November 2 at Hephzibah High School. Students can sign up at https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat/register. See the guidance department for a fee waiver. The ACT will be administered on Saturday, December 14, 2019. To register for the ACT go to https://www.act.org/content/act/en/products-and-services/the-act/registration.html.
We offer opportunities for academic success, too. Mr. Green, math teacher, will host SAT boot camp beginning Monday, October 21. For more information, email him at firstname.lastname@example.org. Mrs. Edmunds has Edgenuity afterschool in the computer lab on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 2:45 p.m.-3:45 p.m. For more information, she can be reached at email@example.com.
